busy, busy

I feel like I have so many stories and thoughts bouncing around in my head and I don't know where to start. We have been sooooo very busy lately. Doing what? Well I'm not exactly sure... We've been running around Home Depot and Lowes on an almost daily basis (brian is very proud that his daughter knows which store is which), spent hours upon hours hunting for the perfect floor, back splash etc. that just so happens to be something that wont break the bank, all the while trying to keep Finley from poking an eye out with a rogue tool or eating a piece of sheet rock that she thinks is popcorn. Minus some sanding and paint, the kitchen is basically done, and let me tell you...it looks a-mazing! I'll probably post a picture when it's all done so I can brag about brian's awesome work. Even though the remodel has taken up the majority of our time lately we have managed to partake in some other fun activities. For example, we went to the Carnation Elementary Talent Show. Now, I know this is a pretty big claim to make, but I'm pretty certain it was one of the most entertaining nights of my life. Imagine if you will, a little tiny 2nd grader belting out a man-bashing country song, or a pair of 3rd grade girls singing Taylor Swift love songs. And the dancing, oh man! It was sooo obvious that these little munchkins have hannah montanna fever. When I was little I had no idea how dance sexy (as opposed to now) and I definitely would NOT have gotten up on a stage and attempted it in front of a large audience. Anyway, we had a great time cheering on our little Hailey. We had the pleasure of cousin Maya joining us for our Wednesday play date with Grandma and Gigi. Grandma gave the girls matching dresses. We went to a REALLY fun Easter celebration at our church. Finley decorated cookies, had story time, did art projects, and of course participated in an egg hunt. And here we are at Grandma's house for our family Easter celebration. She's sad that it's raining outside. Showing off her pretty dress. Playing some hymns. And last but not least, here is my little peanut enjoying the sunshine. Please let the sun come back soon.

For the sake of time, I will write a separate post giving a synopsis on our big 18 month old. Some titles that I'm musing over at this moment are: "the week-long tantrum" and "is it okay to put a shot of vodka in my coffee?"

geez and I thought that I was the only one contemplating the vodka sans coffee. Glad to hear its not just Logan. Maybe we should just lock them in a room together while we drink vodak?

When Andrew turned 18 months he all of a sudden became a different child. Wouldn't eat anything I would give him and constant trantrums! He is almost 20 months and seems to be calming down a little bit. He still has his moments but there's something about that 18th month! Good luck!
